Purpose:
The purpose of the Communication Club is to provide education in areas
of communication, rhetoric, and electronic mass media. The Communication
Club provides keynote speakers for the benefit of the campus community
and gives UMM students the opportunity to participate in conferences and
workshops. It also gives Speech Communication majors and minors the opportunity
to gather and discuss issues in the above mentioned areas. This web site
will also be a resource for research,
linking to major journal sites. Internship
opportunities will be added as the college receives them.
Upcoming activities:
This year the Communication Club is planning on sponsoring at least 2 speakers that have yet to be
determined. If you have any ideas for speakers that relate to mass media, human communication, or
rhetoric contact the co-chairs. The Communication Club is also hoping to provide opportunities for
students to explore career and graduate school options. Finally, some social activities and fundraisers
are possible activities. If you have any ideas, questions, or concerns contact the co-chairs or Dr.
Mary Elizabeth Bezanson.
