Information for premed students at UMM

This site is intented to serve as a resource for premed students at the University of Minnesota, Morris. If you are interested in the possibility of applying to medical school in the future, you should talk to your advisor and/or one of the professors on the premedical advising committee to find out what you should be doing to prepare yourself. But first, look around this website to familiarize yourself with the premedical program at UMM.

As you are thinking about the idea of becoming a doctor, an extremely important website that you should bookmark and consult frequently is the site of the AAMC - the American Association of Medical Colleges. Here you can find all kinds of information about how to prepare for medical school, and what it is like to be a medical student and a doctor. You will also find links to the official pages of all of the medical schools in the United States, the official MCAT site, and all kinds of other critically important information.

You should also take a look at the websites for the University of Minnesota Twin Cites and Duluth medical schools (they are separate but related MD programs), or the official site of whatever schools you are interested in applying to.
